this is CBS and now here's your host David Ross okay I'm live at sewed one I did episode zero yesterday just as a dry run a test and things are a little bit better today I figured out some of the technology and I think it runs smoothly I know now to ignore the warnings I get from YouTube I have one right now so I'll just ignore that because it seemed to stream very well yesterday so I just want to pop over and look at yesterday's live episode 0 and address some of the things that I see on that page there so I've just fast forward it to the end of the give a shout out first of all to everyone that commented and the live chat of a Christo's Rex Thank You Anthony green good friend of mine and one of my guests thanks for chiming in and thanks for that the messages and the encouragement as always my biggest supporter from day one Anthony green and me Tyler Michel I'm not sure how to pronounce her name and although have spoken with you me Michal Rose Alta I know you have different spellings for your first name not sure how to pronounce it Michelle or whatever but it was nice chatting with you on discord maybe I'll do some more discord in the future now that I have this live-streaming going on but I enjoyed my chat with you and thanks for chiming in thanks for being Lord Mozart 308 that's a good friend of mine on YouTube nice young man we'd never met obviously but virtual friends so and of course I had about 11 likes it's pretty good for happy so at 0 87 views not too bad for a little schmuck like me I want to give a shout out also to everyone a comma said have got currently here in Liz knee and his brother Aidan of course they were both guests on my podcast going out in the back on the live stream and Matthew Murdock my BFF exclamation point exclamation point exclamation point and you know I love you Matthew thanks for listening and thanks for your support Kevin mark reached out to me in the comments thanks Kevin thanks for listening and thanks for watching I guess now that you can watch me maybe I'll have you on to if you're not too busy I know you're busy with everything you do all the good work you do for the Catholic perspective on origins and stuff like that with you oh and say hi to Hugh for me very generous people at the kolba Center and foundations restored and very very nice people the Catholic young earth creationists that I've met very generous so thanks nice to see you here Kevin Northern Light as a friend I think from Scandinavia I only known than light from the comments but always very pleasant always very friendly and open-minded and cordial and so thanks thanks for being there Northern Light for my maiden voyage into live-streaming and there's Lord Mozart 308 again nice to see in the comments as always max the man thanks for the comment I look forward to seeing more of you in the comment section and my friend Nicola he's been on once and you will be back to do some live streaming with me Nicola Kurt chick I hope I pronounced that right a real sweetheart a revert I guess you could say a convert we were to revert to the Catholic faith really sweet night all my all of my listeners are sweet and lovable and really appreciated what I'm going to do now is to look at my Kindle that's what I can do I just I'll just sort of go through and look at some of the books that I've been reading and some of that I'm waiting to read and we'll take a look at them together about them classify it on my Kindle and you can see here I've got books on apologetics these are just very roughly very very roughly categorized it's hard to categorize anything much less a bunch of Catholic books because there's so many overlapping topics and stuff like that so good books on the Polish ethics the only one I've really read so far is a thousand one reasons to believe by one of my guests Robert Haddad check out his interview if you haven't listened to yet really great Australian apologist and he's a Maronite Catholic in the apparitions and mystics category about quite a few books here our lady about Pompeii I haven't read this yet but it's by balton penny Lord I'm looking forward to reading laughs I've got a devotion to Our Lady of Pompeii I go to Our Lady of Pompeii Church here in Montreal during the week my weekday mass in Italian and here we've got our Lady of good success I've read this one quite a while ago but very very powerful predictions about our time and really great read around London obviously I think is a fake apparition and then we've got from lured the message of Bernadette haven't read that yet divine mercy image explained haven't read this one yet but I have read her diary in its in its entirety well worth the read it's a long read it's well worth it magic Oreo revisited this basically with the nail in the coffin I think magic glory is demonic and it's gonna be hard to bring me back from that position the vision of God this is the one of the first books I read while I was an atheist that got me interested in monotheism it's a mystical book about God and if you're into the Lizzie brothers if you're listening to this Kieran in particular you might like this or Matthew Bates if you're listening if you happen to be listening to this my my one of my longtime listeners and friends who lives in Australia if you're listening to this the vision of God's a good book you're talking about non-duality and I know you're into that these days especially but the visual guard really brought me into monotheism by talking about the way God's always watching us and how how unknowable God is in his essence but how he is the source of every good very very powerful book for me as when I was an atheist brought me the brink of conversion how she loves us haven't read it yet the life of Mary as seen by the Mystics haven't read it I've read the new American Bible cover-to-cover at least 10 times all 73 books is a 72 or 73 and it can never remember and walking with God it's Jeff Cavins book haven't read it yet but probably pretty good books about the Saints now here I'm really excited to read about blessed John Duns Scotus haven't dug into that one yet this one's about st. Peter Canisius if I'm pronouncing that right Canisius who is it Jesuit apparently Joseph Piper guide to Thomas Aquinas this should be very colorful and entertaining I think Joseph Piper I think I've seen him on YouTube he's an Englishman or Scotsman or something if I'm not mistaken I've been ready yet the visions of st. Teresa of Avila penny Lord again and Bob of course and more SCOTUS haven't read that yet what I'm looking forward to I've got so much to read just don't have the time right Pius the tenth this is a book about Pope Pius the tenth look forward to reading that he's he's a saint obviously Pope Pius as him and the visions of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque haven't read that looking forward to it the life of st. Philip Neri one of my favorite Saints and the joyful Saint a very pleasant I'm always attracted to those Saints who are happy and joyful and of course there's a very serious message also in his writings and in his life I'm sure but he emphasised joy ancestor sales another one that really gets me that way and st. Gertrude a book about Saint Gertrude the great I'm not sure I bought that one I think it's because I pray the Saint Gertrude prayer every day I haven't read it the belt the Baltimore Catechism now if my friend Matthew Murdock's listening to this these are some good catechisms to read here you've got the belt Baltimore Catechism it's really amazing summary of the faith I like the way it's written I read the companion to the Catechism of the Catholic Church and I also obviously read the Catechism of the Catholic Church but I have it in paper a paper hardback book the Baltimore Catechism again this is number three they've got number one number two number three it's got number 4 they've got different versions I haven't quite figured out what the differences are somewhere question and answer somewhere rephrased I don't know my tongue can't really tell you what the differences are between the different versions of the Baltimore Catechism of different revisions and publications like that how to cue some of the council of tread Trent I read this several years ago wonderful amazing it's not an it's not infallible per se but none of the catechisms are but really good and if you're a young earth creationist you'll find plenty in there to support young earth creationism from a Catholic perspective quite an amazing book doctors and Fathers of the Church we've got the complete works of Tertullian now he's not a saint neither is origin but about both of their complete works because there's they are doctor they are considered fathers of the church and the Philip Kaleo of course I'm reading that now on 24 percent in that's an accurate representation because sometimes these numbers don't accurately reflect how deep I am in it just repre jumped in to when I'm searching for quotes for example I go to my kindle and I search doing a keyword search which you can see over here somewhere but no I don't have the search bar but in any case the Phillip Lea of course I've mentioned that often it's wonderful the doctors of the Catholic Church and overview I'm not sure about this one I'm not sure if this one is a good book or not Marilyn Hughes if I'm not mistaken she might be some sort of New Age person I'm not sure that the complete works of the Church Fathers that looks good the 12 apostles the decay of course I've read segments of I read that book in particular now this is sort of my miscellaneous category didn't know how to categorize some of these thing as a big book of sacramentals haven't read it but I'm really big into sacramentals obviously holy water and sign of the cross stuff like that absolutely surrender this sounds like some sort of Protestant approach to prayer or spirituality but I am ready yet I don't know why I bought it the okay who moved the stone this is probably something to do with the resurrection I've read it the path of the just no idea why I bought that one oh maybe it's maybe it's a Jew maybe I should reclassify this one with my Judaism books because path of the chest reclassified it there so easy to manage these things in your Kindle software here's some Peter Kreeft book petition of moral relativism yeah I did read that one that's quite good but greed Ronald Knox the Creed in slow motion someone recommended I read this I think as a penance one of the priests gave to me and so I did read it don't remember anything about it into glorious light this is one of my guests Paul Keough if you haven't listened to that you can go ahead and listen to that nice guy the Catholic Encyclopedia yeah I think I downloaded this in PDF and put it on my Kindle just a easy access the Catholic Encyclopedia new Advent dot org is a wonderful website I used a lot the soul of the apostolate this was recommended to me highly recommended to me by my Maronite guest Robert Haddad I got to check it out one of the best books he said on spirituality definitely have to check that one out no turning back a witness to mercy I did read this one one of my guests recommended it I don't quite remember much about it but I know that I think he was positively in positively impacted by magic warrior even though he's skeptical about it so that was someone suggested I read that to sort of see how it balanced the so-called fruits and metric Oriya which I think were just the fruits of good and faithful Catholic priests and white people who happened to be there to separate the good fruits from the what I think is the demonic disobedience that that had to hurt and at the root of that movement but about lots of books are I can't really go through all of them I got a Mother Angelica book I read this one I haven't read yet the imitation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus looks interesting the Roman Catholic Lutheran Accord that's that should be in my Protestantism category so I'll recategorize that right away so many books so little time and I really don't have time to finish today but maybe take a look at some more books another day nice seeing you thanks thanks for being with me once again you as little as $1 per month we can support a charitable mission of CBS which has already enrolled hundreds of guests and patrons and their immediate families in the Scalabrine league of the millinery fathers of st. Charles Borromeo by your generous support you to participate in these benefits a special Mass offered on each day of the year and the devotion and good works performed by the members of the society of the society thank you for your generous support
