this is CBS and now here's your host so I've called this episode zero because it's really just a test to get my feet well I've decided to go a live streaming because I don't have a lot of time anymore I used to spend a lot of time editing my pre-recorded interviews and I just don't have time for that so I figured I'll try to jump in and transition to live video streaming and I can learn as I go so question 2 what about all those pre-recorded interviews well I'll get to them eventually I'll give myself like a year I can edit one or two a month and I've got about 20 25 and I can that I need to go through and it's very laborious but I will go through them and abandoned the pre-recorded interviews but if I'm hesitating now it's because I see an error message on YouTube it's saying that I don't have enough and with so I'm gonna have to tweak my settings probably let's hope that some of this is getting through have no idea it's my first time doing this but I am getting an error from YouTube so that's a little bit disconcerting but yeah I will eventually get through those pre-recorded interviews and we'll publish all that and that I've got a couple of pre-recorded projects that I will do throughout the year but mainly I will be doing mainly I will be doing live streaming video and video is more interesting for the viewers they can watch me watch my guests if I have any guests but that's a future question question three how often will you stream i'll stream at least once a week twice a week three times a week maybe up to four or five six times a week some weeks I may do seven streams a week I don't know what will you talk about question 4 what will you talk about I'll just talk about Christ in His Church because that's what I'm interested in will you have guests on your livestream question five yes I will eventually I need to learn how to do that I I would imagine I can do some sort of screen grab or screen sharing or something like that should be easy enough to set up I just experiment I need to try it and so yes I will have guests and it will be live so there'll be others AWS and all the sort of tangents which can be annoying which I like to edit out of my interviews but it's a compromise solution so we're gonna have to deal with a little bit of clutter and some inefficiency in the flow of the conversations when I do have guests on life but it should be worth it because I should have a lot more guests every year six I like your CVS mug will you be I had this made locally for five bucks and I just made one at a printshop so now I'm not interested in selling a bunch of junk on my youtube channel I'm interested in saving souls and distributing grace through the perpetual masses that I promote speaking of which question seven and the why do you promote the Scalabrine 'only --g of the missionary fathers of st. Charles Borromeo on your channel do you work for them no I don't work for them I've never met them I just discovered them because they offer a good service in terms of Perpetual masses enrolling people in the Scalabrine and League of the missionary fathers of st. Charles Borromeo is just one of many ways to enroll someone in a perpetual Mass but it's the best way that I've found I can do it remotely in the comfort of my living room I can pay credit card every month automatically I just send the names they put them on the list it's distributed worldwide to all the missionary fathers and all the masses and the prayers and the devotions all of that accrues to my credit and to the credit of those that I enroll and it also if you support this channel you can participate in that too you can benefit also from supporting that work in even in a small way through prayers or if you want to pay a dollar a month donation through patreon you can do that and you'll be participating in hundreds of these enrollments there hundreds of masses being said every day all over the world or for my guests and for other people that have been rolled to my patrons and family and friends and stuff like that and anyone really that comes to me and asks for natural gas you can participate in that's an exciting thing that's why I promote the Scalabrine leap of the missionary fathers of st. Charles Borromeo no in I don't know if I mentioned but this is a 15-minute segment it's not going to go on for 40 minutes so I'm really going to have to come up with topics that I can squeeze into 10-15 minutes and if I do have guests and when I do have guests because I do plan on having guests then I can stretch that 15 minutes out to 30 minutes or maybe 45 minutes possibly an hour I don't know we're gonna have to play play around with the format and see how that plays out but for the time being when I do my regular live streaming a video like I'm doing right now episode zero tomorrow I'm planning on doing episode one so I'll have some content for you not prepared content because I never prepare anything I just speak impromptu off-the-cuff but I'll have at least a topic something I'm excited to talk about today I'm just going to with whatever time I have remaining and I think you can see on the bottom of the screen a little progress bar here it's a little red bar that's advancing slowly it shows me how much time I've got left so I'm about halfway through this one and when we get to the end you'll see a little splash screen at the end showing you my patreon account if you want to support me but with the remaining time that I do have today I'd like to talk about some of the Christmas presents I got from listeners of my channel and I want to give a full of shoutouts and thank-yous first of all I want to give a shout out to Matthew Murdock my best friend forever you know who you are and if you're a listener of my podcast you know who Matthew Murdock is he's he's been on the show at least three or four times maybe five times and there are more episodes to come those are some of the pre-recorded ones that I'm sitting on but always a great guest always a great lovable character and Matthew if you're listening to this I love you thank you so much for the present and here this is what Matthew got me for Christmas it's called Catholicism and evolution a history from Darwin to Pope Francis and wait to read it and everyone who knows my channel knows that I am a young earth creationist as wacky and weird is that it sounds to most Catholics I am a young earth creationist so and proud of it I'm very very excited and happy to be that much closer to the Garden of Eden to Noah's Flood and our Babel and all that stuff there's darkness in our fallen world in our in a history of salvation history but I like being close to all of it because it means there's less nonsense there's less actual sin in between me and original sin my next shoutout is related because it has to do with young Earth Creationism I'm Catholic young Earth Creationism and this show doubt is to two of my guests who I become friends with as of the podcast Hugh Owen who founded the Colby Center on creation which is a Catholic initiative about origins and my friend Kevin mark dr. Kevin mark and of course his lovely wife Amanda mark they were both on my podcast as well and Hugh and Kevin appear in a really amazing video series called foundations restored I should have prepared something but I'm just really doing a test run here of the live streaming but basically I got the streaming service for all seventeen videos it's a 13-part series some of the parts are Part A Part B so it stretches up to 17 videos about an hour per video roughly and really good content really good content high-quality production value the audio is excellent the video is excellent speakers they've selected are excellent and I will I do plan on doing something of a review not too in-depth but there's 17 episodes so I can I can do a couple of episodes about this series of videos talks a lot about of course about evolution it talks a lot about Darwinism and it talks about the the man the mysterious man and the unorthodox quote-unquote Catholic who brought me into monotheism Renea to courage and I've since come to find out that what brought me into the faith through Rene Descartes ostensibly was actually the notion that had been expressed by my favorite saint Saint Augustine many centuries before that a notion of I think therefore I am it's a psychological evaluation epistemology it's just common basic sense approach to epistemology and ontology and how the two are united in that notion of I am and then the question becomes of course am i necessary or am i contingent but I don't want to go too far into down the rabbit trail because I can't edit this this is live so I need to really guard my thoughts watch my thoughts and speaking of watching my thoughts I have been reading the philic alia its venerated as a almost like a holy book of the Eastern Orthodox tradition but it's also valued in the Western Church in the a lot and writer for example of the Holy Roman Catholic Church to which I belong it certainly is seen as a great collection of writings of the early Desert Fathers fourth century fifth century six century all the way up into at least the fourteen fifteen centuries some there's some speculation some of the writings might go as far as the seventeenth century and I just finished reading a little segment I'm not getting I'm getting a warning now on YouTube that my stream might be dropping out so I will pay attention to that but yeah as I was saying that physically is really interesting read I might do a couple of episodes talking about that but there's one more show note that I want to do one of my recent guests that I haven't published the edge is the creator inventor he and his family put together the cards can you see that I don't know if you can see that my lighting is not great here Saints cards it's a wonderful game that you can play with people ages 4 or not and I'm going to take it to the University here and try it out on the University students but I want to thank David Williams and family for putting together this game it's an amazing it's an amazing gift that I got some expansion not you David Williams and that's it for today I'll have to let you go but a big shout out to all of you Thomas for as little as $1 per month you can support a charitable mission of CBS which has already enrolled hundreds of guests and patrons and their immediate families in the Scalabrine League of the millinery fathers of st. Charles Borromeo by your generous support you to participate in these benefits a special Mass offered on each day of the year and the devotion and good works performed by the members of the society thank you for the members of the society thank you for your generous support
