This episode of Meta explains how I went from Hard Solipsism to Monotheism in a heartbeat back in 2009. I was reading Descartes’ “Discourse on Method” when the conversion happened. Basically, I said to myself, either I’m God or God is God, so if God is not God then I am God. But I know that I am not God, and that God is God because if I am wrong then I am also not wrong, since if I am wrong when I say that I am not God then I am God and God cannot be wrong. I met Thoth about 20 years ago when we were both agnostics. I met him through the University of Concordia Film department. Because of his sensitive creative nature, he has a lively sense of humour and a fresh way of seeing things. He now lives in Taiwan.
Pykris reached out to do part 2. We talked about music, fantasy, mental-illness, compassion and psychiatry, among other things.
I met Uzi on Facebook. I could tell that he was a firecracker with a lot to say about religion and life in general. He did not disappoint. A warm, generous, loving man with a lot of energy and a tough practical ethics. It was a lot of fun meeting him.
Pykris is the companion of Nicky, whom I interviewed recently. If I have understood correctly, this young man claims to be an avatar of one of Satan’s favorite demon-spawn, Pykris. I renounce forever Satan and all his demons and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ.
Nicky runs the Westminster Satanism Meetup in Colorado. As far as I know, she is the first Theistic Satanist I have ever encountered. I came to Catholicism via Atheistic Satanism but I now renounce Satan and all his pomps and works, so help me God.
Mr. Rand is the president of the Atheist Freethinkers association. We had a nice long chat in behind the Sanctuaire Saint-Sacrament church. He was a great speaker, which made editing a breeze.
