Eric Steinhart suggested that I interview Lincoln Cannon. Lincoln is an LDS Mormon and a Transhumanist, meaning that he is interested in ethical ways of using science, engineering, and technology to advance the human race beyond our present limitations. I enjoyed our friendly chat.Continue reading “Catholic vs. Other – 2019-01-12 – Lincoln Cannon”
Eric Steinhart is a philosopher of religion specializing in new and emerging religions. Eric comes from a long line of evangelical congregationalist preachers. He no longer identifies as Christian, but does not see much value in the label atheist either. It was a fun chat.Continue reading “Catholic vs. Other – 2018-12-27 – Eric Steinhart”
I met Steve McRae on YouTube when I was looking for videos with Graham Oppy. Steve considers himself an agnostic, but he does not consider himself an atheist. We discuss science, philosophy, and religion. It was a lot of fun.Continue reading “Catholic vs. Other – 2018-12-22 – Steve McRae”
I met Paul on The Coming Home Network’s online community. I asked him to come on my show and tell my listeners a little bit about his conversion, and he was gracious enough to accept. This is his story. Please visit turnkeough.com for more information, including links to his Journey Home episode, and more.Continue reading “Catholic vs. Catholic – 2018-12-22 – Paul Keough”
I met “Philo Theism” when he commented on my Atheist Experience episode (Catholic vs. Atheist – 2017-05-28 – Matt Dillahunty.) He is a bright young man and he has recently discovered the depth and wisdom of the “ancients” of western philosophy. I really enjoyed our chat.

I met John on Facebook. He is a family man who teaches Philosophy at John Abbott College. He is a colorful character with a very open mind, but he chooses to identify as Christian. I enjoyed listening to him talk, and hope to have him back. Lots of fun.
Dr. Fleming is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Western Sydney University, Australia. He describes himself as “Catholic among the secular, and secular among Catholics”. I spent most of our time picking his brain about philosophy. Good times.
I met Shaun through his younger brother Dylan Maxwell, whom I interviewed in 2016. Shaun is an affable family man. He earned both his Masters degree and his Ph.D in Philosophy, with an emphasis on the nature of consciousness. He is currently writing a book on the Freedom of the Will.
I met Mitch on Facebook where I was drawn to his sharp and abrasive communication style. He was raised in a secular Jewish home, and considers himself agnostic. I like to think of Mitch as a cute kitten with sharp little claws.
This is my sister, Linda, whom I love very much. She was adopted into our family when my parents lost my sister Faith at birth due to Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. It was fun getting to know Linda a little better because we have never talked about religion before.
