In this episode I compare and contrast different ways of sacrificing, for the sake of God, the self-evident gifts that make us human: free will, reason, and morality.Continue reading “CVS Meta – 2019-02-09 – Atheism and agnosticism”
In this episode I briefly introduce the famous “Problem of Induction” and give two simple examples of how we can use the purely deductive “Reduction to Absurdity” technique to arrive at 100% logical certainty concerning not only mathematical truths, but even fundamental principles of physical science.Continue reading “CVS Meta – 2019-01-05 – Solving induction by reduction deduction”
When I interviewed Steve McRae, I asked if he ever had Catholics on his shows, and he mentioned Max Kolbe by name. I reached out and Max kindly agreed to come on my show. I enjoyed our chat, but I am sad that there seems to be bad blood between some of my guests. God help us all.Continue reading “Catholic vs. Catholic – 2018-12-24 – Max Kolbe”
I met Paul on The Coming Home Network’s online community. I asked him to come on my show and tell my listeners a little bit about his conversion, and he was gracious enough to accept. This is his story. Please visit turnkeough.com for more information, including links to his Journey Home episode, and more.Continue reading “Catholic vs. Catholic – 2018-12-22 – Paul Keough”
This episode of Meta explains how I went from Hard Solipsism to Monotheism in a heartbeat back in 2009. I was reading Descartes’ “Discourse on Method” when the conversion happened. Basically, I said to myself, either I’m God or God is God, so if God is not God then I am God. Therefore I know that I am not wrong when I say that I am not God. Therefore I am not God. But if I am not God then God is God. Therefore God is God.Continue reading “CVS Meta – 2018-12-24 – Solipsism vs. Monotheism”
I met “Philo Theism” when he commented on my Atheist Experience episode (Catholic vs. Atheist – 2017-05-28 – Matt Dillahunty.) He is a bright young man and he has recently discovered the depth and wisdom of the “ancients” of western philosophy. I really enjoyed our chat.

I met Athena through her boyfriend, my friend Russell whom I also interviewed that same evening at their apartment in Montreal. She was raised culturally Jewish but has been doing Yoga since she was about ten years old. We mostly talked about sex and morality and life and death.
Ivan is an old friend from the neighbourhood. His energy is infectious and I knew he’d have a lot to say. He didn’t disappoint. I only wish he could have stayed to chat a little longer. Next time.
